If you were intrigued by my
DIY upholstery project, but have an easier time learning things by watching them instead of reading them, then I have just the help you need! The fine folks at
ReadyMade created a very helpful video showing you a slightly different technique for reupholstering chairs.

I love Lotta Jansdotter's
super-easy and stylish sewing patterns. The former San Francisco resident is now cozily ensconced in her East Coast studio, sewing up a storm. I think Lotta's lovely space incorporates many of the organizational and style elements that readers used last week in our
Casa Craving Challenge.

Even if you don't think you know the
Eames Lounge Chair, you probably know the Eames lounge chair. Created by husband and wife Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller, the iconic mid-century modern design debuted in 1956, and it's still wildly popular five decades later. (One person even thought it would make
a good tattoo.)
For a bit of background,
Dwell Blog (via
Design Observer) found this pretty hilarious video of when the Eames lounger debuted on NBC.
