Pipeepoodle recently perked up her new digs with some lovely little chairs that her mother refurbished for her. Her mother had purchased four chairs and offered to reupholster them as dining room chairs for Pipeepoodle. Gladly, she accepted, so her mother stripped, painted, and had them reupholstered in the
Alexander Henry Viceroy Black Trellis fabric ($7.49/half-yard).

The folks at Better Homes and Gardens took this modern microsuede
slipper chair and reupholstered it in an icy blue fabric with lots of dressmaker details like pleating and
tufting. You're probably thinking, "Cool story, Hansel." Right?

I've told you about
patchwork chair makeovers and
facelifts for the Egg chair, but by far, my favorite patchwork reupholsterer is the iconic and eccentric East London company
Squint. Started by sculptor and painter Lisa Whatmough just three years ago, the company has grown by leaps and bounds, and now has a full range of items, from chairs and chaises to pendant lamps and mirrors.

A celeb client
of Danny Seo's had these cringe-worthy dog stairs by her bed, but her pooch couldn't part with them. So, it was unanimously decided that they needed a chic facelift. Seo hopped over to a flea market in Los Angeles, where he picked up a vintage Peruvian rug for around $30.

Sgdish had a plain vanilla, and stained, vintage armchair with a great frame that was just begging for a makeover. She decided to "be bold and choose two different coordinating fabrics" for reupholstery, but used the same fabric for the chair's trim as on its backside. The results are truly impressive and inspiring.
