I'm totally loving the textural look of the
West Elm Organic Cotton Pintuck Duvet Cover and Shams ($24 and up) that is achieved with pintucks, very narrow ornamental folds or pleats in the fabric sewn in place. Of course the 230-thread-count cotton has its own appeal, but it's really amazing how an easy tuck can really transform a solid fabric like this. I thought I'd see if I couldn't come up with some other pintucked home décor items that I love equally; it wasn't hard.

The
Home Shopping Network has bewildered me since the '90s. I never understood the phenomenon, why people get so attached to it . .

I personally tend to gravitate towards modern décor, though I ideally like to mix styles. But, as I was raised in a traditional-style home, I do have an appreciation for the sort of old, dusty way of decorating . .

Graffiti, the process of scratching, scrawling, painting, or marking images or letters in any manner on property, has existed since the Roman Empire, and has evolved into much more than simple scratch marks. Some people think of it as vandalism (defacing property), others as art, and for others it's a movement of its own. You can see from a
recent CitizenSugar poll about British graffiti artist Banksy, the consensus is largely divided.
