The new Garnet Hill catalog showed up in my mailbox this week, and I flipped through it briefly, thinking I'd seen everything new already. I realized this was clearly not the case when the Modern Dandelion Bedroom Collection ($32- $15 stole my heart. A part of me is considering redecorating my bedroom altogether, or switching the sheets seasonally just so I can welcome this pattern into my home. Everyone knows someone who can burp the alphabet. I never knew you could sniff the alphabet, though. That is, until I smelled each of these Archipelago Monogrammed Candles ($25, on sale $ at my local Anthropologie store. Each candle is named a letter of the alphabet that corresponds to their primary scent (i.e. G for Gardenia and J for Jasmine). From A to Z, each scent was so enchanting that I couldn't choose just one. At $25 a pop, I wasn't exactly going to buy all of my favorite scents, so I left empty-handed. Thanks to Garnet Hill, who has reduced their price to $8, my problem is solved. Let's just hope 26 lit candles aren't a fire hazard . . .

I always loved advent calendars. I mean...what greedy kid wouldn't? A present every day for 24 straight days! I know the tradition is just for kids, but this Hat and Mittens Advent Calendar new at Garnet Hill is so cute and sweet I'm wondering if I can be grandfathered back into the tradition. It's a string of tiny hand-knit hats and mittens cross stitched with the dates of December. Each one is crafted by hand, so each calendar is unique. Even better. I love the holidays!
