These fishnet drapes are found in the gorgeous Ideas House in the Hamptons. I love almost all of the photos of the house, but it seems like this is a misstep to me. Am I crazy not to love these curtains? Source

Room Therapy: Help Me Make My Bedroom More Livable!

Hi Casa,

I'm a student who recently moved into a huge four-bedroom apartment with four other girls. We converted a den into a bedroom, which also means that my room opens into the sunroom. While there is a lot of space, there isn't closet space anywhere. I have questions about making this space more liveable.

How do I get hanging space on the cheap? I only have one more year of school to go! And don't want to spend too much money.
I inherited a really old bed (no headboard) and was wondering what's an easy/cheap way to make it look nicer?
The sunroom has huge windows that overlook the street. I love the sunlight but the lack of privacy makes me nervous especially since it's on the first floor. Any way can I create some privacy while still maintaining sunlight?

Etsy Find: Chandelier Silhouette Curtains

These natural-colored curtains ($70) have been screen printed with the delicate silhouette of a Victorian chandelier. The chandelier is printed where the curtains meet, so when closed, the image is as striking as it is elegant. While apart, the curtains have an interesting, abstract quality to them (although I'd prefer to keep them closed). They're also prewashed and machine washable, which is super convenient. If I didn't have pesky bay windows in my living room, I'd be all over these beauties. I love how the curtain itself couldn't be simpler, but the printed image instantly makes it seem luxe and quite unique.

DIY: Tree Branch Curtain Rod

This DIY tree branch curtain rod project doesn't seem like most original idea ever. But actually, I've never seen it done before; it looks rustic-chic; it achieves that branches trend; and it's super easy to pull off. Here are the steps, according to do-it-yourself:

Find a tree branch slightly wider than your window trim.
Use pruning shears to remove long twigs, but leave a few stubs for character.
Spray-paint the branch or leave it natural.
Choose tie-top curtain panels, which allow you to adjust for the curves of the branch—no clips or rings needed.

Room Therapy: Curtains, Please!
