Crave Worthy: Wellington Day Bed

I have no need for more living room furniture, but just in case someone steals my sofa and armchair, the Wellington Day Bed ($2,495) from Restoration Hardware is first on my must-have list. The frame is reminiscent of bamboo in shape, and uses a mortise-and-tenon joinery that's handcrafted from solid hardwood with mahogany veneers. I'd want to make this rather stuffy frame pop with some inspired pillows, but other than that, I can't think of anything else I'd change about this charming piece of furniture.

Steal of the Day: Cable Sateen Quilt

I've been looking for a nice, quilted cotton blanket for a while, and it looks like I've found a perfectly priced one with this Restoration Hardware Cable Sateen Quilt ($22.99, marked down from $89). It's only available in Eucalyptus and Chocolate colors right now, but if either of those colors match your bedroom color scheme, you're in luck. Made of 350 thread count Egyptian cotton with channel quilting, this seems like a perfect quilt to tuck under on chilly Spring nights or lazy weekend Battlestar Galactica marathons.

Good, Better, Best: Triptych Mirrors

A while ago, I fell in love with Sfgirlbybay's folding vanity mirror (seen here and here), which I suspect she may have picked up at a flea market. I have since been on the hunt for a triptych vanity mirror, but I've not yet made the final splurge. I've come across several options that fit the bill and that I have mixed feelings about, because a part of me is still holding out for an antique one. I think all three are wonderful choices, if you can afford them. It often surprises me how expensive mirrors can be, though. To see the three choices I've come up with,

This Just In: Restoration Hardware To Sell For $267M

The traditional home furnishings company Restoration Hardware has agreed to be sold to private equity firm Catterton Partners for $6.70 a share, or about $267 million. The deal has yet to be approved by shareholders and receive regulatory approval, but the company's CEO and president, Gary Friedman, the board of directors are encouraging stockholders to vote for it. Of the merger, J. Michael Chu, Managing Partner of Catterton Partners said:

"We are pleased to enter into this partnership and look forward to building on the accomplishments of Gary and his team. Since joining the Company several years ago, they have established the Restoration Hardware brand as a leader in the premium home furnishings category. By combining our respective expertise, we believe we can continue to evolve and grow the brand and become a dynamic force in the marketplace."
