In the latest issue of Domino, readers got a tour of British designer Matthew Williamson's vibrant and enchanted Hampstead, London, cottage. Williamson didn't execute one stitch of reservation when it came to designing his digs, filling his home top to bottom with finds from all ages and places, and infusing it with a surplus of color. One of my favorite furnishings of his is a high back, woven rattan leaf chair sitting in the corner of his dining room.

I'm always on the lookout for interesting lighting, and while I do go gaga for
hip,
modern pieces, my traditional upbringing has left me with a soft spot for antiques and reproductions likely to be coveted by mother. The
Wisteria Call to Dinner Chandelier ($349) is no exception. Its reproduction old hotel silverware and hemispheric iron frame give it the look of an antique, without the price.

If you loved the look of those
robots under their bell jars, you can recreate it in your own home with the
Wisteria Tall Glass Cloche ($69, reduced from $99). If you're too much of a traditionalist to feel robot love, you can use it to enclose your freshly baked goods or delicate plants. Or, display something a little on the safer side under the cloche like a small sculpture or some family photos.

I've blogged
lots and
lots about birds, and even wrote a post
entirely full of bird puns. So, it's no secret that I love dem birds! Some of you have expressed that you're not big fans of
the bird trend, but I am, so I've decided to cover my ears and show you the
Wisteria Perched Bird Candleholders ($16 for two).

If you need a matching
steal for the covetable
Mother of Pearl Chest, look no further than this
Black and White Inlaid Bone Bench (on sale for $299, usually $549). Whether you use it for your
vanity, your
entry, or stack books upon it in your living room, it will add a touch of flair to any room it lands in. Covered with an inlaid floral pattern with rosette accents, it would make a gorgeous addition to your home.

For those of you who don't get your flatware fix when it's on your dining room table, may I suggest the
Wisteria Flatware Wall Art ($499)? Handpainted on canvas, these oversized utensils will definitely make a statement. The question is: Is this a statement you want to make?

If you haven't noticed, sisal/jute rugs are generally quite cheap to begin with, possibly the least expensive good quality rug you'll find. But, the
Wisteria Vine Bordered Jute Rug ($34-$69) is an exception even to that, not to mention totally cute. Available in lettuce, hydrangea blue, and peony pink, if pastels are your thing, one of these is bound to work for you.

Forget
lacquer trays. Gimme a game board! This
Folk Art Checker Board ($59) is new and nifty at Wisteria, not to mention the answer to my slatted
Nelson bench/coffee table dilemma.

Buying furniture online isn't always a reasonable thing to do. Shipping and handling rates are usually sky high, and then there's always the issue of making sure you'll be at home to accept your order. But for those of us without a trusty pick-up truck or gas-guzzling SUV, it's often the only solution to our furnishing dilemmas.
