Before and After: A Tacky Chair Gets an Update The other week, I asked you what projects you were working on, and I've got to say, you are all some busy bees. While some of you are painting rooms, stripping cabinets, and arranging home offices, I told you that I was going to reupholster a chair that I found for $2.50 at a flea market. So, it was unanimously decided that they needed a chic facelift. Seo hopped over to a flea market in Los Angeles, where he picked up a vintage Peruvian rug for around $30.

She decided to "be bold and choose two different coordinating fabrics" for reupholstery, but used the same fabric for the chair's trim as on its backside. Before and After: Armchair, Oh to be Young Again! Absolutely Beautiful Things recently took on the challenge of reupholstering an old armchair. I suppose this senior citizen has its charms, but it's also clearly been through a lot of wear and tear over the years. She chose a gorgeous, lattice-like pattern for the fabric, and "decided to replace the gathered arm detail on this chair with face and piping detail."
