Ever since Polaroid decided
to discontinue its instant-film products, I've been trying to snatch up all of the 600 film I come across. But, that gets pricey, considering the film costs nearly a buck per development. You know
how I love my Polaroids, though, so it puts me in a pickle.

Since we last spoke about the Polaroid Instant Camera, I was buying up an obscene amount of film in preparation for the Polaroid apocalypse. As you know, after January 2009,
there won't be any more instant film produced — and I couldn't be more depressed about it. But in an attempt to appease the instant-film lovers out there, Polaroid has taken things to the next level and has produced the
PoGo — a portable printer that lets you print photos wirelessly from your cellphone (via Bluetooth) or from your digital camera (via USB).

The celeb-ridden Polaroid Beach House, an infamous party spot frequented by scenesters like Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan in Malibu, has just been put on the market for the whopping price of $32 million. The house was basically one big product placement, used by the owners, the Polaroid company, to throw parties for young Hollywood that'd be snapped by paparazzi, discreetly landing their products all over the tabloids. But
apparently, that promotional scheme was nixed by "local (rich) neighbors who objected to the around-the-clock revelry in the summer of 2007."

It doesn't have to end! Even though Polaroid's days as a
photography option are waning, we don't have to place it firmly in the past. Wear the memories around your neck with this
Polaroid Charm Necklace ($15)!

Depressed about the
upcoming demise of Polaroid's instant cameras?
Then now would be the time to get up, buy a soon-to-be-
vintage-geek camera and a crap-load of film, and quit whining about it! I'm planning on grabbing an old Polaroid, stockpiling some film, and snapping away before it's too late.

After last week's announcement that Polaroid would be closing the
rest of its production plants, I couldn't help but feel nostalgic about the end of its historic run. In honor of the company, which introduced its first instant camera in 1948, I've decided to share this hilarious Polaroid Swinger camera commercial with you. When
YumSugar first showed it to me, I couldn't believe that Polaroid would create such a sexy black-and-white video back in the day.

I like the fact that
digital photo frames are finally starting to look like ordinary picture frames! In the next couple of weeks,
Polaroid will be releasing this digital frame in Japan that comes with four designer frames to match any decor. Discussed on
Fareast Gizmos, with the 7-inch XSJ-00750M frame you can easily view your pics with any flash memory card.

In honor of
National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, geeksugar will give a lucky TeamSugar member a lovely
pink Polaroid digital camera.

The thought of ever losing my old photos or entire photo albums seriously freaks me out. Although most of my newer pics are
digital and saved online, most of my old photos from my 35mm film camera are in various places—putting them at risk if anything was to happen. Well a new company called
ScanDigital will take all your photos, albums, negatives and slides and scan them for you so they are all in one safe place.
