Growing up, I diligently practiced Mozart on a spinet piano, which was compact enough to fit snugly in a corner in the living room. My mother-in-law practices Rachmaninoff on a gorgeous grand piano by a picture window that overlooks downtown Seattle. While we don't have a piano in our home, I'd love to get one.

Cats are known for laying low, lounging around, and catching a midday snooze whenever they feel like it. And if they "feel like it" all day long — so be it. Despite all this nap time, they manage to impress us again and again with newfound skills.

Tay Zonday made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel's "Internet Talent Showcase" to sing his smash song "Chocolate Rain." Zonday, looking like a deer in headlights and equipped with a frog in his throat, gave the best performance of his career. But the audience wasn't amused. 
This children's piano has an awfully strange request. No wonder kids are growing up fast these days. What kind of filthy "toys" are they playing with? 
This morning's interlude is inspired by Tom Hank's classic film Big. Remember that memorable movie moment when Tom made music with his feet on an oversized walking keyboard in FAO Schwarz? The actor was nowhere near as skillful in that scene as these dudes are in the following clip, so you're in for a treat!

How can anyone forget Nora, the piano playing cat? She's become a bona-fide celebrity since her internet debut, but not everyone is a fan. In fact, someone's grown a little jealous of all the attention Nora's been receiving lately and wants to be a star himself. 
Remember Nora, the jazz pianist? Well, she's back by popular demand and better than ever. Nora's three years old now and has been playing duet and solo performances since the tender age of one.
