Adjusting to the suddenly dark evenings is a little rough for me, even though I truly enjoy and take advantage of the
extra light in the morning. Lack of it makes me a little blue; does it do that to you, too? One way to perk up your mood is to increase the amount light you enjoy on a daily basis.

Halsig posted photos of her ingenious bathroom door in her loft. In this photo, the bathroom door (in the background) is open, and the light is off.

Switzerland-based product design consultancy Life Goods designed the
Ceiling Light, which mimics the shape of a traditional ceiling medallion. I've always loved ornate ceiling medallions, so it's refreshing to see the design take on a different function. The design doesn't seem to be in production, but I'll be the first to get my hands on the clever luminary if it ever is.

I don't know what it is about
butterflies lately, but they've had my heart all aflutter. The cutout butterflies on the
Mixko Delight Belle Light ($49, reduced from $83) are quite dainty and appeal to the side of me that secretly loves pink, unicorns, and party dresses. And I love how the light just seems to peek through its skirted edge.

Considering the
prices of garden lights these days, I've been looking for a low-cost alternative. Lucky me, I found a DIY for temporary garden lights you can make from only LEDs, lithium coin cells, mason jars, and a little bit of tape. The lights will be temporary, until the battery runs out, but you can always refresh your battery supply just for about 30 cents each.

The
Beau & Bien Smoon Ombrella ($1854) is a wireless and rechargable "light sculpture" for your indoor or outdoor space that acts a parasol in the day, and a lantern at night. But, to be honest, it looks more to me like an alien starship from
It Came From Outer Space . .

I am totally falling in love with Suck UK's geeky-chic goods. Not only can they supply me with an
old-school Mixed Tape USB Set that I can slip in my BF's bag to show him some love, but they can make me the queen of my castle with this totally hot
Union Jack illuminated coffee table. I am seriously jonesing this thing.

The
Mmckenna BettyLou Cordless Lamp ($275) is a cordless rechargeable lamp that sits on a wine glass and shines for over seven hours, until it needs to be recharged on its base. If you're a wino, this is probably right up your alley. But then again, you might be tempted to use the included glass to serve yourself some Sauvignon Blanc .

Norwegian lighting company Northern Lighting has taken Jason Miller's
Ceramic Antler Chandelier and the subsequent
reimagined hunting trophy trend to the next level with the
Moo Light, a sconce in the shape of a full-size moose head. Made of poly-resin and steel, no moose were harmed in the making of this lamp . .
