Whether he's designing for interiors, television sets, or as part of a challenge for a show on HGTV, Style, or the DIY Network, designer
Kyle Schuneman remains loyal to his company's slogan: "Be You. Live You. Live Well."
I appreciate how Kyle's designs integrate trendy items into comfortable, livable interiors.

I found this sweet photo in interior designer
Fawn Galli's portfolio. Fawn, who was named as one of the
Domino 10 Decorators for 2008, has a talent for adding quirky elements to elegant interiors. I particularly love the colors in this corner shot, as well as, of course, the matching rocking chairs.

This hip Hollywood Duvet Set was designed by a famous male interior designer. Can you guess who it is?

As part of our Best of 2007 polls, you
named Charlotte Moss as your favorite interior designer. I do love
Charlotte's couture living design philosophy and her attention to detail, so I see where you're coming from. But, I have to say I think the whimsical touches and bold color choices of
Sheila Bridges' interiors are more my speed.

Interior designers can work wonders on any space, and bring your personal style to your home in a way that maximizes what you've got to work with. If you have a knack for it though, being your own personal decorator is an enjoyable and rewarding process.

In today's
Designer Spotlight, I thought I'd take a break from product designers and get you acquainted with interior-design star
Ruthie Sommers. Based in LA and raised in North Carolina, Sommers' unique aesthetic is elegant and easygoing, combining European style antique and flea-market finds, and upmarket indulgences. In 2002, she opened the
Chapman Radcliff Home boutique in West Hollywood, which has since become a serious celebrity pit stop.
In the most basic sense, an interior designer is a professional who is hired to conceptualize and coordinate the interior look of a house or commercial space. A designer typically works with a client to choose everything from the colors, patterns, and artwork to furniture, lighting, and accents. In addition to helping the customer find and purchase new items, the designer also helps incorporate a home's existing pieces into the redesign.
