I just discovered a moth infestation in our kitchen. While I can handle a lot of creepy crawly things, finding moth worms in my nut mix is not okay. It turns out that in warmer climates, infestations like this are very common.

If your coffee grinder is coated with coffee bean residue, or if it's suffering from dull blades, there's an easy solution. Grind up a cup of uncooked white rice in your coffee grinder. Not only will it clean the grinder, it will also sharpen its blades.

Back in January, I had the opportunity to review Clorox's Green Works cleaning products. While many people (including myself) were initially wary of a natural cleaning line put out by Clorox, I was won over by the fact that the products were 99 percent natural, contained no harsh cleansers or artificial scents, and did the job with a minimum of fuss or expense. Further, I was impressed by the fact that the Sierra Club endorsed these products.

Even though my fiancé and I have wildly different cleaning styles (he, slow and methodical, me, more tornado-like), we still try to clean at the same time, Not only do we bond over the time spent sorting recycling and vacuuming, but we both understand that the other is putting in a good and sincere effort. Recently, I was reading about your significant others' cleaning efforts around the house in the Housecleaning Support Group on TeamSugar. Cocoangel shared that her husband is actually a good housecleaner. My favorite part of her comment, though, was her observation that, "[t]he best thing is that a few years ago I pointed out that I couldn't make the bed until he got out of it, which is usually anywhere from one to two hours after I get up.
