I may hate to find moths in my kitchen, but when it comes to bees, those little striped insects can do no wrong. That's why I'd gladly decorate my house with bee wallpaper, stock bee glasses in my cupboard, and sweep curtains back with bee curtain holders. Of course, it's probably due in part to the fact that I'm the daughter of a beekeeper. Bees are also thought to represent a happy, well-organized life, and satisfaction in love. Who can argue with that?

This bowl of clear glass objets d'art remind me of the cool, clear sea. It's such a welcome change from the saturated colors that I normally favor and would bring a sense of calm to any room where they were displayed.

Etsy Find: White Notes 3-D Flower Vase

This White Notes 3-D Flower Vase ($19) is a much cheaper version of the Porcleain Flower Vase ($9 I've been seeing in all the design shops lately. It's handmade of fine bone china, and reinterprets vase shapes of the 1790's by using a white finish to create a modern look. I think the tulip design is so beautiful on its own that it really doesn't even need fresh flowers. Although...who can argue with fresh flowers?

Nice and New: Chrome Gnomes at Home

This jolly set of CAKE Chrome Gnomes ($42) is new at Design Public, and I gotta get my hands on them. I know they're just decorative ceramic figurines, but they're so cute they make me smile. I almost wish they were s&p shakers—wouldn't that be better? Functional or not, they're definitely trendy these days.

If you read home design magazines, I'm sure you've seen those pricey crystal ball lamps that are so trendy these days, and maybe you're lucky enough to own one. I personally have not made the splurge, although I've come close several times. So, when I found these Society Candlesticks ($32) amongst Anthropologie's new inventory, I knew I'd found an economical alternative to the beauties I'd been pining for. According to Anthro, these "sparkling stacks of faceted crystal are the life of the party." What could be better?
