This week another film about Coco Chanel will be released but this time from the heart of Chanel itself. Creative director Karl Lagerfeld has created a silent movie about Coco starring model Edita Vilkeviciute as the young designer.
It will be screened on Wednesday night, along with a showing of Chanel’s Paris-Moscow pre fall ready-to-wear collection. 
Roland Mouret may well be French by birth but he has truly been taken under the London fashion wing as he spends much of his time in the British capital. Sad news then that today it was announced that he's taking his RM designs to Paris for next season.
Mouret will join the exclusive Paris Couture schedule from March 2009 although he plans to speed up the system by making his clothes available in just 2 months.
The swirling rumors are confirmed: Miu Miu has chosen Katie Holmes to be the face of its Spring campaign. Details are still under wraps but we do know that the ads were shot last week — hence the smokey eye makeup residue caught on Holmes face seen left. With Miu Miu's past history of choosing celebrities such as Lindsay Lohan, Kirsten Dunst, and Vanessa Paradis, does this come as a surprise to you?

Miu Miu always surprise me with their choice of stars for the ad campaigns. Last season Vanessa Paradis fronted the campaign for their luxe sportswear Autumn line and today it was revealed that Katie Holmes will star in the Spring one.
People announced this morning that Miu Miu have confirmed Katie following many rumours linking the actress and the Italian brand. 
This evening the British Fashion Awards took place at Lawrence Hall, in Westminster hosted by journalist Mariella Frostup. The awards supported by the British Fashion Council and sponsored by Swarovski celebrated the biggest names in British fashion from designers to models.
The nominees were revealed back in August but you guys predicted correctly that Luella Bartley was the big winner. 
Hot on the heels of its successful line with Comme des Garçons, H&M has just enlisted Matthew Williamson for its next designer collaboration. "I am thrilled that my creations for H&M will be accessible to and hopefully enjoyed by so many people around the world," said Williamson. The English fashion designer is known for using vivid prints and Indian influences in his creations.

Many of you were opinionated about the recent Tods ad where Gwyneth posed amongst fur but this weekend she has apologised claiming she didn't know it was real. Responding to complaints from PETA Paltrow explained,
"That was awkward, because I do not wear fur at all. It was a day-long photoshoot on a boat near Capri, and there were all sorts of poses with all kinds of clothes – none with fur. 
Yesterday, we announced Target's Loomstate eco-chic collaboration but there's more where that came from. The retailer has just nabbed two new brands for its accessories collaborations. Felix Rey designers Lily Band and Sulaika Zarrouk are set to create an exclusive handbag collection launching March 29.
