For the latest what you're wanting, I asked you how you'd furnish, accessorize, and style an outdoor dining room for Adrian Brody and Spanish girlfriend Elsa Pataky's stone castle-like house in upstate New York. The house is stunning, so I'm sure a basic picnic in the grass would still be glamorous, but
AudreyStar really took the challenge and ran with it. So she wins the Sugar swag of her choice as a reward!

As the
holidays approach, I've had festive dinner party décor on my mind. While some of you may want to get crafty with a
paper wreath, others may prefer to keep the holiday kitsch to a minimum. I was impressed with this table setting in Samantha Who?

We may not all celebrate the same holidays, but when you think about it, most of us do celebrate these coming months as the season of dinner parties. We've all got our favorite
recipes and
decorations that help to personalize our parties. But before we can start accessorizing, we've got to have a place for our esteemed guests to sit.

I love this relaxed, cozy dining room in Danny Seo's
Delaware River cottage. Danny upholstered the chairs himself using an unexpected, upcycled item. Can you guess what it was?

I was drooling over the dining room tables on
Shop-A-Matic today when I came across this
Reshaping Wood 2.0 by Jo Meesters Dining Table ($6,500) available at
The Future Perfect. In a category that tends to be pretty tame, this bold yet delicate table could dominate a dinner conversation. It's like a hip, edgier take on
Brocade Home.

Tuning into
"The Dark Night" episode of Gossip Girl, I couldn't help but notice that the set of Philipe Starck
Louis Ghost Chairs in Blair Waldorf's dining room weren't naked as usual. The polycarbonate chairs had been dressed up with silk shantung chair pads, giving them less of a transparent look. Personally, I think the chair pads detract from Starck's vision for the chair: a modern reinterpretation of the Louis XIV chair, which is upholstered.

While Su Casa member
Kimpossible tends to downplay the effect her new dining room rearrangement has on guests, I have to give her major props for her work. She even switched out the chandelier by herself. Nice work!

If you're a bargain hunter, you've likely come across some beautiful antique dining chairs. Sometimes the actual structure of the chair is in great shape, though the seat's fabric covering is ratty or just poorly upholstered. No worries!

Ever since the '50s, when Gerry Thomas invented the Swanson TV dinner, it's been very easy for Americans to watch the tube and eat dinner at the same time. In fact, many of us Neanderthals find ourselves eating over the kitchen sink, while we're driving, or just plopped on the couch. If we really want to be fancy, sometimes we'll eat at the kitchen table.

For this latest
What You're Wanting, I wanted to know how you'd create a dashing dining room, based on this dining room, which could be yours
if you have $2.45 million to spare. It has great bones, but it needed a little fleshing out.
As usual, your creativity and thoughtful choices left me impressed.
