If you
found a new guy to kiss right before the clock hit midnight on New Year's Eve, I don't think you were alone — who doesn't want to start off the new year with a kiss? So if this scenario sounds familiar, I'm curious to know if that celebratory smooch sparked something more. Tell me ladies, have you been in contact with your New Year's Eve kiss since the big day?

Benji Madden is the latest person hopping on the overprotective bandwagon when it comes to his lil darling, niece Harlow, dating. The twin brother to the baby's daddy, Joel, said he'd have a
shotgun ready when the 11-month old's callers eventually come a knocking. While most moms and dads don't delight in the thought of someone eventually taking out their tot, the tough talk is usually tongue-in-cheek.

Many dates revolve around food, which can make it difficult to stay true to your diet, but living in the moment is much more fun than counting calories, if you ask me.
Since many of you
pledged to eat healthier in 2009, I'm wondering how that affects the way you eat on a date so tell me . .

DearSugar and We're In a Run Rach need your help. She and her boyfriend are stuck in the same routine and she needs some advice on how to live again.
Dear Sugar,
My boyfriend and I have been together for a few years now and we've been living together for the past seven months.

Dear Sugar,
I have a friend that I've known for a few years that I've always liked, and it seemed like he liked me, too. We have a lot of mutual friends who encourage the idea of us getting together, so back in August, I decided to put it out there. I wrote him an email telling him how I felt.

When it comes to dating, I'm a big fan of dinner and drinks with someone I'm crushing on, and though it wasn't a landslide win,
27 percent of you agree! Cooking together and
being active came in a close second and third, but it seems like chatting over good food and a good cocktail takes the cake in 2008!

I just came across an interesting
article in this weekend's New York Times. It speaks to the fact that dating is a thing of the past, but hooking up is here to stay.
To help the author understand this new phenomenon, he called upon Kathleen Bogle, a professor at La Salle University in Philadelphia for explanation.

Dear Sugar,
I have this problem; I make up my mind about girls within days or weeks of dating them and then I don't know how to proceed. I will realize, for whatever reason, that it's not going to work out long term so I break up with them. I am usually very quick to inform them that I don't see myself marrying them, and in turn, they get hurt feelings and blame me for being a bad guy.

DearSugar and At a Loss Anna need your help. Though she and her boyfriend share the same feelings about not starting a family in the near future, she's concerned with the way he treats kids overall. Her parents are telling her that his behavior should be a deal breaker, but she's in love!

Dear Sugar,
I met a guy in my office building a few weeks ago and after a little flirting, we decided to exchange numbers. We texted frequently and talked on the phone twice, but he didn't seem eager to meet up in person. I decided to move on and forget about him but the other day, out of the blue, he called me and ask me out for that evening.
