What Color Do You Accessorize With? All of us gravitate toward certain colors, whether in our wardrobes or our homes. For me, that color is blue, though green is often in the mix as well. What color strikes your fancy when you're accessorizing in your home?

Midday Muse: Sweet Green Dreams Green is said to be a calming, restorative color for bedrooms, but the energy of this room feels a little too excited for me. It's very lush and would definitely provide a wonderful respite to the browns of Autumn, but tell me, would you find this room sleep worthy? Source

Do You Prefer Colored Gadgets, or Just Colored Cases?

Do You Prefer Colored Gadgets, or Just Colored Cases? I freak out when a new color of a gadget gets here, because it's just totally fun to see a familiar object rendered in a cool new hue — like the metallic silver option for the Nintendo DS that you can now get in the US! I like having the option of getting to pick the color when I'm make the purchase later. I take it so seriously, like the one time I had a car and got to choose what color would be driving me around.

Midday Muse: Saturated Hues I have to say, Anthropologie has a great talent for catching my eye, and this new photo from its catalog has given me serious room-decorating envy. I love the saturated wall colors and the interplay of blue and green patterns, including that stunning peacock sofa. Sometimes an overabundance of color is simply too much for the eye to take in, but this room is, in my opinion, positively splendid.

Midday Muse: Cue Your Color On beautiful Summer days, it's always convenient to have a furnished outdoor lounge area for entertaining, or just taking an escape of your own. If you have such a space, and you're anything like yours truly, you feel the urge to decorate the space just as you would the interior of your home. But, a part of me feels like the last thing I should be doing during my carefree endless Summer is worrying about coordinating colors and themes, etc.

Before and After: A Color-Coordinated Bookcase Perhaps inspired by my own color-coordinated bookshelves, TeamSugar member Citygal decided to give her Ikea EXPEDIT bookcase a major overhaul of color! In under half an hour, her personal library was transformed from sloppy to sophisticated. She chose to go the rainbow route, beginning with red-toned books at the top, then to greens, blues, pinks, and finally whites and blacks at the bottom. Considering that her personal interests on her profile read "television, writing, books," it's no wonder that she's got a great collection — so why not show it off?

Midday Muse: Wild Colors I have to start this post off on a positive note: I love this house, and I love its beautiful garden and variety of flowers and plants. I also really adore bougainvillea. However, I can't really deal with the two clashing shades of pink that flank this home's entry.

Would You Like to Live Here? Lit by a series of multi-colored lanterns, this large living space is divided into several separate areas, and furnished with painted salvaged chairs, a velvet sofa upholstered with mismatched cushions, and a bed covered with a variety of pillows in slightly dissimilar hues. To say that it's colorful would be a drastic understatement. I'd live there in a second, would you?

Casa Quickie: Eco-Color Theory Ever remember burning your bare feet on a black top in the Summer as a kid? The black color of the paved surface absorbs the light particles that it hits, exciting the pavement's particles, making the black surface warmer because its particles are moving faster. Contrarily, white surfaces reflect light, so they are cooler.
