I think the idea of Laurie Wisbrun's new Birdies on a Chair fabric ($8) is cute as well as the design. But, I wish the white chairs would pop more against the blue background, and I think the palette could be reworked a bit. I guess I'd say I'm undecided. You?

I like the wrap-around, bucket-like shape of the Crate & Barrel Azure Chair ($1,099), and its eco-friendly construction. But, I'm not sold on the tufting; it looks a little odd to me.

Nice and New: 50th Anniversary Swan Chair

You've no doubt seen it in a trendy design store, a hotel lobby, or a wealthy friend's living room. The Swan Chair, designed by Danish architect Arne Jacobsen in 1958 for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, is one of the design world's most famous chairs, thanks to its welcoming and comfortable curves and lack of straight lines. To celebrate its 50th anniversary, Fritz Hansen, the original manufacturer, released 1,958 limited-edition Swan Chairs on Saturday, each in swan-white, semianiline leather with a pearl-white base, each with a sterling silver pendant around its base, engraved with a unique number. Before and After: A Tacky Chair Gets an Update

The other week, I asked you what projects you were working on, and I've got to say, you are all some busy bees. While some of you are painting rooms, stripping cabinets, and arranging home offices, I told you that I was going to reupholster a chair that I found for $2.50 at a flea market. The folks at Better Homes and Gardens took this modern microsuede slipper chair and reupholstered it in an icy blue fabric with lots of dressmaker details like pleating and tufting. You're probably thinking, "Cool story, Hansel." Right? Well, actually, they tackled the reupholstery themselves, and chronicled the project so we could all have detailed instructions for doing it on our own as well. I'm really impressed with the makeover. Beforehand the chair was simply uninteresting, and now it's sophisticated and detailed. Would You Rock a Fur Chair (if It Were Fake Fur)?

There's something very old Hollywood glam about this "Chinchilla" Chair ($1,229), which is upholstered in fake fur. I love its low, slung-back profile, but I'm not so sure about the fake fur. I'd be even less sure about genuine fur, of course, but even the fake kind concerns me a little. What about you?

Crave Worthy: Bespoke Silk Scarf Chair

I've never been a fan of branding (logos, monograms, etc.), and in fact I pretty much detest it. It kind of makes me feel like I'm in a herd of cattle. That being said, even though the Suzan Fellman Bespoke Silk Scarf Chair ($6,400) may feature a prominently placed Chanel logo, I still totally heart it. Upholstered with vintage silk scarves, it transforms your basic slipper chair into a statement piece that's a little bit Art Deco and a bit mod. Its sleek, transparent Lucite legs are a non-competing counterpart to the bold patterns, and they contribute a bit of a 1930s vibe. Love it?
