Party must be able to predict the future, well, at least mine, because this past weekend a friend dropped off a bushel of apples! After reading through your wonderful ideas and strongly debating on making those scrumptious apple and brie nachos, I opted for a traditional, exceptionally tasty apple crisp!
Like crumbles, crisps are very easy to make and require little prep work.

This week is all about quality over quantity: There aren't as many festivals on our radar, but all of them are can't-miss events. The Giant Omelette Celebration is sure to be an egg-cellent time. Now that we have yet another excuse to drink beer, let's enjoy some at the Great World Beer Fest.

One of my favorite Fall traditions growing up was picking apples on Columbus Day weekend. After piling into the car, my cousins and I would head up to an orchard nearby and pick more bushels of the fruit than we knew what to do with. Of course, apple pies were the obvious choice, but sometimes you can have too much of a good thing.
