Two fashion worlds collided in a recent collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Rei Kawakubo. The Japanese designer behind Comme des Garçons, known for her simple and avant-garde styling, has designed an exclusive collection of evening bags for the monogram heavy luxury label.

Back in April we revealed that Comme des Garcons were collaborating with H&M for the next high street/designer collaboration. The capsule line is due to hit stores in November (which is sure to cause queues of people down Oxford Street) and we can now give you an exclusive preview of some of the pieces. Comme des Garcons are famous for quirky designs so I was intrigued to see how they would lend this style to the High Street. 
On Our Radar: Louis Vuitton and Comme des Garcons Collaborate
Comme des Garcons are busy making friends this year. We already announced that the Japanese fashion house would be collaborating with H&M for a High Street collection due to be released in November but now they have also revealed plans to work with Louis Vuitton.

Years past have brought Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Viktor & Rolf, and Roberto Cavalli to H&M, but 2008 is the year of Comme des Garçons.
Although no specific details have been released, head Comme designer Rei Kawakubo is expected to produce men's, women's, and children's collections for the fast-fashion chain, as well as a unisex fragrance. The collection, which will likely incorporate Rei's stark avant-garde aesthetic, has a planned debut in H&M stores worldwide in the beginning of November.
