Has anyone else noticed that Kim Kardashian has been dressing more fashionably as of late? That may be because she hired Angelina Jolie's stylist Jennifer Rade. Never mind her new bangs and focus on the outfit she wore to the Empowerment For Africa dinner in NYC. She opted for a gray ruffle dress that's voluminous up top and sleek on the bottom. A diamond necklace adorns her neck and simple peep-toe pumps dress up her feet. What do you think? Has Kim become more stylish in your eyes?

Evan Rachel Wood has been wearing a 1940s glam style for awhile now, and she's changed up her look once again. At last night's Gotham Awards, Wood lightened her raven tresses with this vivid copper hue.In the past year or so, she's gone from blonde to brunette to retro black, (which you weren't loving, by the way) to her current shade of red. Her hair color spectrum is now complete. Could it be a change post Marilyn Manson breakup or maybe even an attempt to break away from her copycat reputation? Whatever the story, how are you liking this new color?Source

The gorgeous Daisy Lowe has been a bit quiet lately, maybe it's due to her Mother's sound advice? However, all of the ad campaigns which she lined up over the Summer are starting to appear beginning with Pringle of Scotland. Daisy isn't alone in the campaign which also stars Pixie Geldof and Lydia Hearst all shot by Steven Meisel. Clare Waight Keller, creative director of Pringle told WWD, “We were looking at iconic faces…we wanted it to feel young, vibrant and very British. Pixie Geldof had been on our radar for a little while, and then we started looking at the friends she hangs around with....I liked the feeling of reality behind that, that it’s not just pulled together for an ad campaign.”The ads will start appearing in magazines in the March issues. This advert sees Daisy looking slightly more grown-up and edgy than she normally does. Do you love it, or hate it? Source

Scarlett Johansson showed off a shift in hair color at last night's photo call for The Spirit. This new auburn hue gives her a much softer look, and those curls show off all of the highlights. (Seems as though she's been inspired by the lipstick from the movie posters, too.) What do you think of this new color on Scarlett? Does it inspire you to go red for winter? Source

It's described as having a laid-back Australian style; I can see that with the tie-dye bottom layer. As for the leather crisscross banding, not so much. What do you think? Love It or Hate It: Prix Fixe Recession Specials

While they're nothing new to the world of restaurant dining, lately fixed-price menus have become more prevalent. Last month, as the nation's economy reached record lows, online reservation system OpenTable promoted its Appetite Stimulus Plan, a three-course, prix fixe promotional offering at restaurants in 13 US cities. I've noticed a number of San Francisco dining spots with set menu bargains, and New York establishments are also suggesting several courses for a steal. While some diners have been taking every opportunity to try set menus at special prices, I've been sticking to the traditional menu. I gravitate toward innovative preparations, and the prix fixe options I've seen have often been tired standards, such as mixed greens appetizers, uninspired chicken entrées, and sorbet desserts. It makes me wonder who's getting the better end of the bargain: diners, or dining establishments?Source

I think the idea of Laurie Wisbrun's new Birdies on a Chair fabric ($8) is cute as well as the design. But, I wish the white chairs would pop more against the blue background, and I think the palette could be reworked a bit. I guess I'd say I'm undecided. You?

Love It or Hate It? Black & Spiro Christmas Tree

Anna Spiro created this Christmas window display for her shop, Black & Spiro, in Brisbane, Australia. The display has a blue, white, and pink color palette and uses old Delftware to decorate the tree, as well as silver bowls and pink roses. I think it's a very festive, imaginative design for a window display, but I can't say I'd recreate it in my own home. What do you think?

Thanksgiving Leftovers: Love It or Hate It?

The day following the biggest food holiday of the year, it only makes sense that there's enough remaining to feed a small village. Growing up, I quickly tired of eating turkey and stuffing for every meal, so as I got older, I began incorporating turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and vegetables into newfangled dishes. (Check out some especially innovative ideas.) But I have friends who aren't fans of leftovers in general, and that includes Thanksgiving dishes, too. What about you: Are leftovers an enjoyable or dreaded part of Thanksgiving? Source
