ABC has decided against ordering more episodes of Pushing Daisies, Eli Stone, and Dirty Sexy Money, at least for now, writes The Hollywood Reporter. The story continues:
Actively avoiding the c-word, the network left the door open for ordering more episodes at a future date, though that is considered improbable. The trio are still on the schedule for next week.

Dirty Sexy Money Style: Nola Lyons Lucy Liu as Nola Lyons looks like she borrowed this look from her former show, Cashmere Mafia. On Mafia, Lucy was rarely seen without a bold belt, and such is the case here. With the belt, she pairs an off-the-shoulder wrap top and a sand colored skirt.

The Fall of 2007 came in with great fanfare in the TV world, only to be squashed just weeks later by the writers' strike. For this Fall, some networks focused on "relaunching" those shows cut short because of the strike: Chuck and Life on NBC, and Pushing Daisies, Private Practice, and Dirty Sexy Money on ABC. (Though it's now in its third season, Heroes probably falls into this category, too.)
The good news: Many of those shows might not have gotten renewed without the writers' strike.

The last episode of ABC's Dirty Sexy Money aired so long ago, it had a Nutcracker theme. The show — like its counterparts in ABC's Wednesday night lineup, Pushing Daisies and Private Practice — went off the air during the writers' strike and never returned. This week, Dirty Sexy Money is back, amid a bunch of promises from the producers that this year's show will be "dirtier," "sexier," and — you got it — "monier."

All of the new DVD releases hit stores (and Netflix) on Tuesdays. So each week in What to Netflix: New DVD Tuesday, I sort through the best of the batch and tell you what to add to your queue. In addition to my selections below, you can also add Speed Racer, Made of Honor and a little independent film starring Kate Beckinsale called Snow Angels to your lists.

Between Katie Holmes, Katherine Heigl, and that hilarious Scrubs panel, ABC's session at the TCA press tour has already been action-packed. And it's only getting nuttier today, when Shonda Rhimes, Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, and the ladies of Desperate Housewives take the stage. Before we get to that, here are some great stories I didn't get to share on Wednesday:

The Roma Fiction Fest turned in to a fictional sibling fest as cast mates from two of my favourite shows — Brothers & Sisters and Dirty Sexy Money — gathered at a photo call at the Adriano Cinema in the Italian city yesterday. The gorgeous Dave Annable and adorable Luke MacFarlane stood either side of their Brothers & Sisters pal Balthazar Getty, perhaps protecting him from all those rumours about his alleged affair with Sienna Miller. Seeing the other trio of TV stars — Peter Krause, Natalie Zea and William Baldwin — has made me excited all over again for the next season of Dirty Sexy Money.

Last night's episode of Dirty Sexy Money was also the season finale – the reason for the incredibly short season is the writers' strike, but the show will be back on US TV in the autumn. A whole load of things happened in the final episode so lets get started!
