Growing up, I had to do my share of household chores, as did my siblings, but I definitely have memories of throwing a fit when asked to; I was a spoiled brat at times. We never had an organized system or schedule like a chore chart, and my poor mother did most of the housework. But then again, we did also have a cleaning lady.

As Tropical Storm Gustav makes its way toward the Gulf Coast, practically three years to the day after Hurricane Katrina hit (which I myself experienced firsthand), I'm feeling pretty uneasy. The storm has already killed 11 people in the Caribbean and is projected to hit Louisiana and the Gulf Coast on Monday. Yikes.
