Do they live there year round or is this vacation house? I think I'd be a bit too prissy for no running water/electricity year round!

Hi SLDC, I used this term to originally describe his home, meaning that everything was "homemade": made by him with no contractors. And yes, there were lots of hands involved, and there are on every home! Oh, and it's a vacation home. They use it for Summer weekends.

May I ask what a handmade house is? Do you mean built by the owner without contractors? Or no electric saws are used? I have seen a lot of houses built and they are all very dependent on hands!
