This is - most definitely - a collection of beautifully appointed rooms. But I think I feel the same way about pink as you do about orange. I'm just not a pink person.

OMG...I was inspired by a modern LA home I saw in Metropolitan Home to paint a room hot pink. I painted my bathroom, inspired by the bouganvilleas I could see through the window. It was an unmitigated disaster. What I failed to take into account was that 1) the rest of our house is painted very muted earth tones - when you walked out of the bathroom into the rest of house, it took a few moments for your eyes to adjust - like walking from bright sun into a dark room! 2) the bathroom was not modern and lacked 18 ft ceilings, like the house I saw in the mag. 3) you could actually see into our bathroom from about 75% of the rest of the house - so it lurked there in the corner of your eye all the time I repainted it after 3 painful days. I'm not dissuaded from ever trying it again but it'll be a while.

!!!!! I just looked at the slides - Slide #3 was the room I was talking about above that inspired me!!!!! Hilarious!
