Home Offices As Stylish As You Are

Jul 10 2008 - 7:30am In my house tours, I've seen far too many home offices that lack either function or style. But, the truth is, you can have both. Of course, the first step is organizing your desk. But beyond that, your work space should have a comfortable chair, efficient storage, and style — personal style. After all, it is you who will be working there. Take this home office, for example: the walls, floors, and furniture may be simple and white but the owner infused it with color and personality by adding a couple accent rugs and a nice piece of artwork. There's no reason to have a bland workspace — even if you make a living selling encyclopedias over the telephone. And, it may not even be necessary to have an entire room dedicated as your office: sometimes a box hidden behind a couch or a simple secretary desk is all you need. The key is to think about what works for you, and what will be a catalyst for creativity and efficiency. Check out this slideshow to be inspired and informed. Source Start Slideshow

    Cool slideshow.

Love the main picture, I've been drooling over those floors for the longest time! Won't cleaning them be difficult (especially since the OC in me demands the floors to be swept and mopped)? I'm just worried 'bout the dust and dirt getting stuck in between the floor boards.

Anybody? What's your experience with flooring like this?
