Have your windows been painted shut for 20 years? Or did you experience an absence of thought and accidentally paint them shut? This tip will liberate your windows and have you breathing fresh air in no time, bringing new life to your home. To find out how, just read more.

Using a utility knife, score the stubborn paint between the sash and the window frame. Then, insert a 4- or 6-inch-wide stiff-blade putty knife along your scored edge and gently tap it with a wood or rubber mallet or hammer, being careful not to bang too hard. As you force the knife blade into the space between the sash and frame, it should sever any spots that are stuck with dried paint.
