There are many things that you can do with your Christmas tree after the holidays, including mulching it for your garden. But here's something you should never do: never use it as firewood! Don't burn your Christmas tree in a fireplace or wood stove. Pines, firs and other evergreens may contribute to creosote buildup in your chimney, and their high sap content can cause the fire to dangerously pop and spark.

Oh hell no! People shouldn't send their lovely Christmas trees off to the fireplace and let them go up in smoke!
