What's Your Favorite Home Décor Chain Store of 2007?

I don't want to imply that I don't love boutique shops, but there's something reassuring about knowing that you can always get the basics at home-décor chain stores, wherever you are. It's kind of like eating at fast-food restaurants. Yes, you may always crave the croque monsieur at the French café on your corner, but a Double Whopper is a tried-and-true solution if you're far from home. So, for our Best of 2007 polls let me know which one is your favorite this year. Source

Definatly Ikea! I am not super rich and Ikea allows me to still be creative and make my home pretty on a budget!

IKEA, Anthropologie, Crate and Barrel, West Elm, CB2, and Target... love 'em all. I think it is great to be able to pull pieces from everywhere.

I like Rooms To Go because I like having whole sets that match and not having to worry about it. I have bought the most from World Market this year, though. (Since Casa introduced it to me a few weeks ago!) I also think there are some cute pieces at Target that are super-affordable and much better than IKEA. I also love Macy's & JC Penny, Anthropologie & Urban Outfitters, and West Elm & Room and Board. I can't pick just one!

Design Within Reach! I can't afford it all, but I would rather support them than support West Elm or Ikea which blatantly rip off designs from excellent furniture designers. I'd rather not go to chain stores, though.

My Suburbanism is showing; Target is convenient, trendy, well priced, and not over the top.

I CAN'T CHOOSE!! Laughing out loud

I  them all. The closest to mine is the Target store. And yes, I've purchased quite a bit there, my cousin made fun of me for buying at Target, he said to me it's the "poor man's Pottery Barn."

Ikea is like half and hour drive away, and it's still so crowded (just opened a few months ago) so it's like a huge trip going there Laughing out loud

I always prefer more affordable stuff, although I adore the higher end ones (yes, I consider Pottery Barn, Crate and Barrel to be the higher end Sticking out tongue when it comes to my budget) and visit them when I stopped by the mall (they're located inside the mall).

I wish CB2 and west elm is in my town though..I'd love to visit them and buy the clearance items Laughing out loud.

Love my new sectional from Crate and Barrel and hope to have it FOREVER-- It'll take that long to forgive myself for how much I spent! Smiling I also have some great pieces from World Market that I love and were so affordable!

I was surprised to see Target as one of the choices on the poll, but I'm glad because it's my fave of the bunch. I love the Simply Shabby Chic line because it's cute and stylish, yet afforable on my budget. I also love shopping at Marshall's (TJ Maxx) because of the amazing deals--you never know what you'll find.

Yikes, tough decision. Half of my dishes are from Anthropologie and half of my furniture is from IKEA.

Pottery Barn is my favorite, although I very rarely purchase from them because most of their stuff is kinda out of my price range, but I have bought lots of pretty neat stuff at Target and even Walmart. Hobby Lobby has some really good stuff too.

World Market (partially because they also sell wine) but I also love Pier 1, Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel and Target.

I love Crate & Barrel, but its too far from my house. But thankfully a Pier One is nearby to meet any of my design addictions!

Bed, Bath and Beyond is the most convient for me (my husband works next door to it) so I'm always in there. Plus I get 20% off coupons in the mail all the time.

I love them all-however I know some of the stores (like target) copy some of the bigger names...so I try those first!

Ikea is also great because it gives you so many ideas on how to use their items (and others).
