I snapped this picture of a small mountain farm last September when I was visiting my brother in the Western fjords of Norway. It is so remote and beautiful. Sometimes I dream about living in a place this far up and away from the bustling urban world.

Norway = Heaven on Earth! We've been there twice for summer vacations and plan on going again very soon.

As high up as it looks, the road to the top would scare the crap out of me! Kiss The scenery is definately gorgeous though!

You're all very correct--shopping and errand running has to be done very carefully. The "big" grocery store is across the fjord, which is a ferry ride away (and in the fall/winter the ferry rides aren't as frequent), not to mention driving to the ferry and to the store and back. There's a little store with a tiny amount of produce about half an hour away each way....

How beautiful! I would absolutely LOVE to live there sometimes. Maybe they'd consider a house swap for parts of the year...? Sticking out tongue

yeah i would love to visit and stay at times but not all the time. it would make me appreciate it more and yearn for it. and i don't know how i would like the winters.

It is amazing. I long to be in a place like this but reality is, it probably won't happen for a long while.
