Most of my kitty-owning friends are looking for a decor-appropriate solution to the litterbox. Maybe this Kitty Washroom ($99.95) is the answer to their prayers?

If I had a large enough bathroom, I'd do this - Right now, the litterbox is in our living room (we live in a small apartment) with a room divider around it to keep our 2 year old out of it.

We had a prior apartment with a strange linen closet that was split into an upper and lower - the strange thing was that the lower closet had no shelves. So we bought an extra door for it (in SoCal, it isn't like they let you modify apartments that much), cut a door in it and put some fabric on the back of the door to give the cats some privacy. That worked well.

I like this one and wish I had room in my bathroom! I've been looking for all sorts of ways to "hide" the litterbox but they're all so expensive. :/

It's a great idea for humans, but I'm not sure it's the best for cats. I read somewhere cats don't like the enclosed litter boxes because the smell intensifies due to the enclosure. So often times they'll start going outside the litter box because the smell is too much for them. Just a word of warning before you invest in it!

Much better than an open litter box. Definitely be prepared to change more often since the smell will definitely intensify inside.

It's definately cute, would have loved to have it when I lived in an apartment. Now the cat boxes are in the basement, so it doesn't need to be so pretty.

Popgoestheworld, that's interesting, I had often heard cats like the enclosure because it gives them privacy. I suppose it could vary from cat to cat.

If you clean the litter box on a daily basis, like you are supposed to, it won't smell up your bathroom or the inside of the box.

We have a faux wicker one from Dr's Foster & Smith that (when sideways) looks like a side table. We keep it in an extra room and LOVE it.

I love the idea. But there are two problems.
    1) My cat is too fat to use that. &
    2) The smell would be pretty knarly.

I like it because it's not incredibly small. I don't like the idea of trapping my cats in their potty box with their own smells, and the scent of the litter. This seems like it would work because even while containing the box, it looks uh, breathable. I would definitely get it if I didn't already use the vanity in the bathroom, which creates the perfect kitty box cubby.

I saw this in the 7th Avenue and Sears catalogs, but I can't seem to find them there now. I remember it being cheaper at one of those places.

I've been looking for something just like this. Right now my cats litter box is just underneath a table and table cloth to hide it.

that is really cute and makes the "kitty litter bathroom" so discreet but it's the stinky smell that bugs me the most!

It's already on my shopping list.

I've always had enclosed litter boxes and my two cats have never gone outside of the box.

People who aren't pet people won't get it. it's like pets are extra members of your family. It's a little bit over the top but adorable.

Just about the smell everyone. A cat litter does NOT smell as long as you clean it evryday! I have two cats and have never been bothered by smell but I give the litter a quick clean everyday and a big clean on weekends.
I couldn't find anyplace where I could buy that kind of kitty washroom but my bf said he could make one by modifying some bathroom furniture!

i think it's a cool idea, however our biggest problem is LuLu (our 14 year old big mama kitty) get's litter everywhere. I have tried the "kitty carpets" and other products like it but she will hop over them.

    ...wait a minute...
maybe she does it just to make me angry, grumpy grumpy kitty

My cat would want to sleep in that cabinet. And would stroke if I placed her litter box in it. haha! She loves to nap in tight confined places and this is just perfect for that...

Now, I was NEVER a fan of having the litter box in the bathroom. However, if you are in a small apartment, there just may not be anywhere else for it to go! This certainly seems like an attractive way to take care of that problem. With the door, it still gives easy access for cleaning, but doesn't leave it out in the open for everyone to have to look at. I like the idea!

Wow, that's great... if you have a huge bathroom! Which we most certainly don't.

We just adopted a three month old kitten last weekend after we found him on the road seconds after he was run over by a big bad SUV! He had to get his back leg amputated and spend a week at the vets recovering but we took him home last Saturday. I love him but I hate his litter tray, although it doesn't stink as badly as I expected it to, as one commenter said if you clean it regularly it doesn't smell. Wish we had room for something like this though.

I wish they had it in black or a dark color rather than white. We have two cats that will only go in a covered liter box. We clean the liter twice a day so there really is no smell. I think this is so much cuter than the covered box we currently use.
