Su Casa: An Example Worth Following

Well, I don't know about you, but today's Su Casa puts my own organizational skills to shame. In her very first apartment — where, she says, "closets are a luxury" — Divagwendolyn has organized her shoes, bags, clothes, hats, and seasonal attire on one immaculately ordered shelf. And yes, those boxes are even complete with labels!

What strategy do you use to organize your clothes? Tell me below, or post your own photos in the Su Casa group.

    Mines not THAT far off.
I have a TINY closet and I have to share it with my man, so everything has to be organized or else it just turns into a HUGE mess.
I use our storage closet for all my shoes and bags and he doesn't mind, so that helps a whole bunch too.

Very nice! How much for doing the same at my house? Laughing out loud I work 70-80 hours a week, so I always make time to keep my livingroom, kitchen, bathroom, office and guestroom straight. The one thing I never find time for is my bedroom & closet.

Work clothes and dresses in the closet, everything else in the dresser. I live in a tiny studio with my boyfriend, and we only got a dresser last month. Before, we had t-shirt piles, pants piles, underwear piles, and socks piles on the sofa!

Having more compartments really helps. Our dresser has 6 drawers (4 big, 2 small). I put underwear into the small ones, tops into one of the big ones, and bottoms into the other big one. We have "his" and "hers" drawers! No more using the couch for storage.

Great job on the closet organizing. I recently reorganized mine and found clear plastic shoe boxes called Shobby's(tm) that slide out like drawers. It's really made my closet feel like a boutique. I posted a photo in the SuCasa section also.

I bow to the master! What a great closet. I really need to get my shoes in clear tubs. Keeps the dust off the ones I don't wear all the time. Smiling

    doing that is easy.

it's the maintenance that is EXTREMELY difficult.

Love it. Wish I had the eye for it, especially with all that I have collected---shoes and clothes.
