Casa Quickie: Strain Paint With Pantyhose

After painting a room, it's a good idea to keep the can around for touch-ups. But you might find that the old paint gets lumpy over time. To get the lumps out, try straining the paint through pantyhose. Just stretch a pair of old tights or hose over a clean, empty paint tin. Then, pour the paint from the old can through the hose and into the new can.

Here's a cool tip I picked up somewhere.
Before you pour paint into a roller pan, Take a nail and hammer holes in the indentation of the can where the lid would sit. The paint will drain back into the can and it makes a little less mess.

I have tons of paint cans in my garage left over from the previous owners, for touch ups and such. This tip will come in handy! Thanks!
