Love it, don't love the chains though. There's something unfinished looking about chains, or maybe just not homey enough feeling to go with the cream colors and natural beams and floors. Not sure what it is, just don't like the chains at all.

this would look so killer in a loft or a warehouse studio. i agree with stacyleeroberts that a redesign should consider the look of the chains, but you could maybe remedy it with fabric sheaths that fit over the chains. LED twinkly lights would look supercute if you twined them around the chains, too.

It looks like a suspended matress-topper/featherbed. Curious as to how that would work in a non-exposed beam room. I'm sure my cat would love it!

I would sooooo replace my bed with that! Hammocks are pretty common where I come from so I have a few, and I like this update! I do agree about the chains though, traditional hammocks have "braids" instead.
