This Book Clock by Sjoerd van Heumen ($28) would like very cute nestled among the shelves of your home library, but with its bright primary colors, it's almost too cute for my taste. Tell me what you think.

with different colours, it wouldn't look like it belongs in a kids room- great concept tho!

You could make something like this for cheap, and with different colored books.

I'd be tempted to paste different book covers on it, but it's cute.

I'd really like it if the books were darker colors or styled after some classics.

I agree...with these colors, it looks more like a children's clock. With a different style to the books, this could be a cool "grown-up" clock.

Definitely a kids room type thing. If I were to put it in colours I like, you wouldn't be able to tell the time at all it would be so dark.

It would really fit into the playful design of my master bedroom and bath. It is unusual and a bit silly, but I like it.

This is too cute! I'm a book geek so I will definitely have to look into getting this. Smiling

I would love to make something like this out of interesting looking books from a used book shop. It would be really easy to do and would look great in a home office.

it looks good for a kids room but I think it would be hard for them to tell exactly what time it is.

I voted other since I don't care for the bright coloring. If they have darker colors I say love.

    it's a quirky idea. Nice for a kid's room or a kid's study room

It's nice for a kid's room but otherwise it doesn't blend very well.

change the colours, and maybe add a bit of decoration on the spines (fake book titles incorporating the numbers maybe?!) and I'd totally buy this. It's fun and definitely wins on kitch value!

nice idea- but like others said, the colors are too bright & maybe for a kid's room.

If it came in an assortment of colors, this clock would be fun to have. At the $28 price tag, it could be discarded after several years.

i agree about the colors. in darker/more subdued colors or maybe made to look like old leather covers with gold printing, it'd be great!
