Crave Worthy: Vanpey SofaHanger

Ok, this may not be the best idea if you have kids, pets, or accident-prone people in your house. But if you live in a small space with barely enough room for a coffee table, this Vanpey SofaHanger would come in very handy. Designed by Berliner Ralf Paul Schmitz, the makeshift table comes in two varieties — the SofaHanger Alu (at left) and the Bordeaux (at right) — and the width is customized to fit your sofa.

Oh I love this. I'm always trying to balance my little plate on the arm of my chair.

Um...reminds me of those tacky TV trays I used to use when I was a kid! Not a fan...

I want! totally awesome. I wish they had it in lighter wood though...the bordeaux style with a lighter stain.

I think these make sense; I prefer Alu, it looks a little lighter in overall style.

OH I like these. They look like you can easily remove them as well, so you can get rid of them if you have company around, cos lets face it, they aren't decorative.
    practical tho

I like the idea. But. Food and beverage meet couch - is one of my current dilemmas. I don't know that I've reached a satisfying solution yet.

Cute idea but I agree Casa, not if you've got kids. I could totally see mine running into it, knocking it over, trying to sit in it!

I like it but I don't think it looks very safe- you'd probably have to be very careful around it.
