Midday Muse: A Very Brady Bedroom

I love looking at decorating books from the 1970s. The rooms are always a little much, but the ideas are in the right place. Consider this very "Brady" bedroom that Desire to Inspire uncovered in a 1973 book. The idea I would steal? The contrast between the cutesy pendant lamps, the floral bedspread, and the rugged chair.

Those hanging lamps on either side of the bed are weird!! Usually it's just table lamps, ya know?

Way too colorful for me that it looks like a kid's playroom. I don't like it

    Whoa. That's just... well... whoa.
I guess I'm just not a big fan of pink or orange.

I would steal the pink and white ragged walls, the desk and the bed. These would be awesome in a little girls room. I'm not a fan of retro and vintage looks but I honestly would use this whole room for inspiration for a little girls bedroom. It's cute and grown up at the same time.
