A friend of mine took this photo in the machine shop of a Berlin design school. Not only does it inspire me to dabble in industrial chic, but I'm smitten with this shade of avocado-lime green. How could you use these colors and lines in a room?

i think i would use the color and horizontal lines in a home office. im not wild about the color but i would use it as an accent.

I love the colour! The metal and sharp lines, I agree with greeneydmonster though, it'd probably look best in a home office or perhaps a kitchen!

That is fun color for an accent in ANY room! I also used that color as an accent wall in our bedroom behind the bed. It is very bight and earthy color to splash throughout your home.

I live in a house that was built in the '70s. My kitchen wall tiles, countertops, and refrigerator are that avocado green color. I've actually grown to love it, but I don't think I would personally ever decorate entirely with that color. Unfortunately, there are traces of an ugly, metallic gold color mixed with the green in my kitchen.

I would spray paint a thick metal desk chair that fantastic green and put it with a gray or white desk to pop.

I really do not like that shade of green. It reminds me of the 70s which I didn't even have to live through. I wouldn't use these colors or this style in my house anywhere.

Maybe in a kitchen the color is bright and cheery and the lines are like an industrial stove.

hehe that last line made me feel like I was in design school all over again
my professor would always encourage us to take inspiration from the most random things ever.
