    Lord, wear to start..

I hate plenty of these, but the hippie headbands make me physically angry.

Mostly the whole eighties 'vibe', which seems to be receding now (thankfully). I see people walking around in the streets who look like they stepped back in time. Embarrassing!

Mine is mostly a hair thing--but I think those chopped bangs look horrible on most people! Even little J from GG, I can't stand her current hair cut. As for the choices above, most of them CAN look nice--but I'm not so sure of the lame, and hippie headbands either.

I agree with you sundaygreen, the whole 80's look is horrible, during the 80's the fashion was not even that nice, it was even ugly.

I hate everything on that list with the exception of colored tights. I voted for leggings, though, because they are the most awful.

Hippie headbands are unflattering and make people look like morons.
I like leggings as long as the wearer realizes that they are not pants. Gladiator shoes make people look short and stumpy. And anyone with hips or thighs looks tragic in a bubble hem.
I need to stop before I have a stroke.

at the leggings aren't pants comment.

We were in a museum last weekend and these two girls were wearing legging/tights and short shirts so that their bums were all hanging out for all to see...

I almost went Blair Waldorf on them and had to describe the scene to my husband:
    Blair's Minion--But I didn't understand...
    Blair-- That tights aren't pants?!

syako, that is one of my favorite lines EVER from GG!

Leggings - are not pants... and make you look short(er) when worn to the mid calf with flats
    Hippie headbands - stupid.
    Baggy jeans - horribly unflattering.
    Gladiator shoes - stumpy
    Lamé = lame.

I can't stand most of these trends. But that's just me. I'm generally not going to buy something unless it looks classic and classy.

Advah - so true about the leggings... I don't understand why women don't feel uncomfortable wearing them as pants...yikes!

I'm also not a fan of rolled jeans, hippy headbands... and like runnergeek said - CROCS! Ugh...

Not a fan of hippie headbands or bubblehems. I love leggings only because I love dresses, but my legs are hella pale right now.

Yeah, tights as pants is a pretty stupid trend. Especially when you're below someone trying to pull it off on an escalator. If I can see the cotton crotch of your tights, you've done wrong girlie.

I like the colored tights look with cute dresses and even cuter strappy heels, but find when I roll out of bed I stick with skinny or flared jeans, a layer of tanks and tees, and a colorful old man cardigan over top. If only my wardrobe was more expansive ... I'm cute but predictable.

Bubble hems are the worst! SO unflattering! If I pick up one more cute dress just to find the hem is gathered with a tragic piece of elastic I'll scream.

Can I pick all of the above? Well, leggings I can stand.. only if it's at the gym!

I've come to tolerate baggy jeans. As long as I don't see anybody's underwear.

I don't hate any of these trends when done right.
I don't think tights should be worn as pants are just like a lot of you think. They become too see through that way! I do think the liquid leggings can be worn just like pants and look good on SOME people. Make sure they aren't TOO tight, your crack never peeks out and, you don't have camel toe.

Cath, I agree with you on the uggs. I don't hate when people wear them in the winter but I don't get it when people wear them with shorts and skirts in the spring and summer.

Oh, and the Uggs in the summer with skirts or shorts.

I love them all! As long as one "trend" is being worn at once so there is no overkill. I think the people who criticize these trends the most are ones that are too boring to try new ideas or just can't pull them off themselves...

"I think the people who criticize these trends the most are ones that are too boring to try new ideas or just can't pull them off themselves..."

Or maybe they're just people who don't believe that an ugly thing becomes attractive merely because it's trendy at the moment Eye-wink

"I think the people who criticize these trends the most are ones that are too boring to try new ideas or just can't pull them off themselves..."

Or they are people who don't want to waste money on clothes that will look (more) ridiculous next season, and perfer to invest in classic pieces that stand the test of time (black slacks, cashmere sweaters, button down shirts, pumps, etc)

OR--we are fashionable people who don't think pairing a pair of €20 tights with Christian Louboutins is very fashion-forward. It makes €900 shoes look CHEAP!

I like the menswear trend in the YSL manner.

The hippy headbands make me think people have dirty hair.

The bubble skirts can work on the right body but not on someone carrying a few extra pounds/kilos.

    I'm over leggings.

Rolled jeans--that won't catch on where I live. Women are too tailored for the slouchy beach bum look.

all of these can be done right, but i've ALWAYS hated gladiator sandals. it's just...no.

leggings don't bother me. as long as they're not worn as pants.
hippie headbands are kinda cute for summer as long as you're not going overboard with the look, i think.
i love anything shiny, so lame has to stay. the rest of it..whatever.

I'll admit that i fell for the gladiator trend but i'm a bit of a rocker chic and i just really loved how they toughened up outfits. Smiling

However, i'm not a huge fan of the hippie headbands (except on Nicole Richie for some reason) and tights as pants. Lame is just plain bad.

I'm sick of the Goddess/Grecian trend (unless Rami from ProRunway wants to make me a dress!).

Bubble skirts just baffle the crap out of me. Very few people look good in them!

I think the key to following trends is simple - If it looks good on you and fits you well, then by all means, go for it. If it does not fit you (i.e. you're short and hippy and you wear gladiators with bubble skirts) then DO NOT FOLLOW IT!!! It's better to look a bit more mainstream than messy!
