Do You Like This Use of Color?

Seattle-based Domestic Architecture left the walls of this Manhattan Beach home white and took a paint brush to the steps, making the green staircase the center of attention. Tell me, do you like this use of color?

I want to do this sort of thing with my front door. My walls are white and i want to do the inside of the front door a turquoise.

I love it. While the house is a little modern for me, I would love to add random pops of color like this in my home!

I like the style but it's not right for my house. I definitely do not like the choice of color though.

"I think it's beautiful in that space, but it wouldn't work in my home."

You have to work with what you have but, beyond that, I would have felt the need to pull a bit more of the blue up into the windows [maybe]. As it is I think that's what is missing. A bit more of the blue.

Love it! I wonder what it would look like if the steps were painted red or yellow or even a glossy black.

Love it! I agree with Haze that the windows would be really nice with some of the blue pulled in.

Love, love, LOVE it! Would totally do that if I had stairs! I like the ideas for red and yellow, too.

Also, I would give $2000 of my hard-earned money never to hear someone say that a color/accessory/knicknack "pops." Gag.

I think the stairs works really well in green and it's a unique stairs so it's good to make it a focal point. I also like the way the green is picked up in the stained glass too. However, beyond that I would have gone for neutral furniture - there are too much attention seeking pieces in the room. IMHO.

The layout in this place is awful. I love the stairs, but not with the empty white walls. Someone needs to hire an interior designer.

Like the idea but I think it needs a tweak.

I would have made the green on the steps warmer and brighter, more like the pillow that is resting on the chair. I am all for mixing tones but green is tricky, imho.

The broad space on the wall cries out for something large, simple, graphic and picking up the hints of that medium blue..

I like the chair, not so keen on the coffee table.

I like it, but I'm not so fond of the shade of green they used. But the idea is great. I love color.

I love the idea, infact I've been thinking about this very colour combination for my new place. I would just choose a different shade of green and I dont like the stairs but love the sofa and the white walls.

Love the green, but there's too much white, I think. Love the windows.

I love it! And I love the shade of green too! I think it looks soo pretty, but the walls still look weird just being plain white. I think they should've went for a slightly off-white color. As it is, it seems like the walls just melt into the floor. And that doesn't look attractive.

I love it! Although I am not too fond of the big green chair. The stairs and the windows are fab!
