According to E! Online, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, and their ever-expanding brood of cuties have closed on a three-year lease on a stunning pre-Roman estate in the south of France.

To find out more about the Jolie-Pitt's new home, read more.

The bigger-than-life manse, called Chateau Miraval, is located in the village of Brignol, near Aix-en-Provence. It features 35 bedrooms (perhaps to house all of the Jolie-Pitts' future children), an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, a sauna and jacuzzi, separate his-and-hers gyms, and a massive banquet hall.

The 1,000-acre property is planted with 13 varieties of olives, boasts its own forest, stream, and lake, and even has a moat. There are over 20 fountains, as well as an aqueduct, and the terraced hillsides are sometimes dotted by bucolic images of grazing horses and goats.

Word is that the Jolie-Pitts will try to move in within three months. They're currently staying in Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen's gorgeous villa in Saint Jean Cap Ferrat.

Good for them. That's a lot of house even for a large family like theirs.

i absolutely love the area that they are buying the house. i've taken the train from marseilles to monaco and well..it's just so nice to see that! it's private for a lot of people who want to be kept out of the spotlight.

Good for them! They do so much good for others, they deserve a place where they can live in privacy

It's beautiful. It sort of makes me wonder how many kids they are planning to have, with 35 bedrooms!! I hope that the maids that get hired are paid well. I wonder what the total square footage is?

Yes, you are correct. They are leasing it for 3 years. I love to see pictures of them, but this past week the paps have been merciless. Now they will have all the privacy they need. Kudos to the Jolie-Pitt. Love this family

I don't understand why these "do-gooders" would spend $60 million to live somewhere (one of their MANY homes around the world) if that money could be used to help the unfortunate..I really don't like this couple.. hate how they got together and how they think they are a supercouple...if you're going to do good, you should at least be consistent......or at least people should idolize them a bit less...

Where would you like AJ/BP to live? They don't think they are a supercouple and no one knows how they got together except AJ & BP. Why should they have to live under a freeway because they want to help others? Lots of businesspeople like Bill Gates, Paul Allen and Larry Ellison have multiple monster houses, yachts, private jets and do very little in comparison to AJ & BP. Allen and Ellison are single white males. If you speak out on humanitarian issues and environmental concerns it doesn't mean you have to walk around in a hair shirt. Oprah, Tom Cruise, Schwarzenegger, Travolta and Spielberg all have personal private jets and multiple massive homes -- much more lavish and ostentatious than BP & AJ -- who actually live quite modestly compared to their peer group. Are you as equally critical of those celebrities?

20 fountains! sounds a little overindulgent. i understand their need for privacy but im pretty sure a 35 bedroom house for a family of 8 (and however many staff they need for the upkeep) is a waste of natural resources. but at least they will be holed up in their forest and not splased around in the papers.

No one ever comments about that HUGE villa George Clooney lives in either. Poor Angie and Brad ... no matter what they do, people will always complain. I applaud them for finding a private haven and wish them well. Smiling

Why put " " around do-gooder? Are you using do-gooder as a pejorative?

A bit much, but they need the privacy. And i didn't believe that they brought this cause they couldn't afford it. I hope they'll stay there for the rest of the year like they said.
