I use my dining room table as it's the biggest flat surface in the house and I'm doing laundry for five to seven people.

I'd also be interested to know what people fold vs. hang. For example, my DH hangs his jeans up (hung over the bar of a standard hanger). I fold them (roll them actually) and put them in a drawer.

It varies. sometimes it's in the guest room, sometimes it's our bedroom and sometimes it's in front of the tv.

i fold stuff in my room or in the kitchen on the dining table, but we recently oiled the table so i won't be doing that for a while.

i hang up all my pants, hoodies, and button-up shirts, and dresses of course. the rest is all rolled or folded in the drawers in the built-in closet or my high-boy.

I don't mind the folding part, but I hate the putting away. I tend to want to just keep everything in the dryer. I also hate unloading the dishwasher! Something about putting things back in their place that I don't like.

I fold it right out of the dryer while it's still warm, no reason to let wrinkles set it if you don't have to.

I fold it at the laundromat. i usually put the undies and socks in one drying and some light shirts so they dry faster and i fold them while th eother stuff is drying and then i keep taking stuff out of the dryer so I am folding it as it dries lol

Usually in front of the TV...my laundry room is next to our family/TV room, so that's usually where I end up.

Since I do laundry for our family of 4, I fold laundry on our king-size bed (more room) with the TV turned on to either old movies or home and garden channel.

I send my laundry out to be done. It is delivered back to me clean, fluffy & folded.

If I'm staying on top of things, it gets folded when I take it out of the dryer and arranged in categories (by room and space within the room) on the kitchen island right next to the laundry closet. If I'm lazy I put the whole stack of dried, unfolded clothes on the chair in my room and then fold a whole bunch at once on my bed.

I used to send my laundry out, it was much more affordable than I thought it would be (back in a larger city with laundromat's being my only other option) and man did it free me.

I hang dry most of my stuff because if I don't, it'll shrink. I don't want to have to keep buying new stuff! I immediately put everything on appropriate hangers & walk them to my guest room whey they hang dry, and then the next day I just grab them by the hangers & put them in the master bedroom closet.

    HANGERS:

I use the ones from JCP so that they're all the same - looks pleasing & calm in the closet to have them identical. I spend $0 on hangers! I just ask for extras anytime I'm in the store, and they're always sweet & give me a huge stack of them. ALL my pants & jeans & capris go on the clip hangers just like in the store. And ALL my tops go on the tops hangers just like in the store.

An added benefit of this is that it feels like you're getting a nice brand-new outfit each time. LOL It's so girlie, and I love it.

Bras & undies & workout clothes get folded & put neatly into the dress & chest-of-drawers. So simple!
